In recent years, the number of middle-aged people experiencing heart problems, circulatory issues, and high blood pressure has been increasing. While complaints of heart pain and high blood pressure used to come only from patients over 50-60 years old, in the last 3-4 years, such complaints have become more common among people over 40.
For example, according to 2023 data, 60% of patients receiving treatment and rest at the "Almaty Resort" sanatorium were found to have cardiovascular system disorders. In percentage terms, 36% of these patients are over 65 years old, 30% are between 50 and 65 years old, 26% are between 40 and 50 years old, and 8% are under 40 years old.
According to Botagoz Bakturkizy, a top-level cardiologist at the sanatorium, treatment is prescribed based on the specific needs of each patient. If a patient comes for disease prevention, the sanatorium offers a wide range of therapeutic procedures. If a patient comes with an illness, treatment begins with medication, and then, after health restoration, physiotherapy, electrotherapy, mud therapy, and other treatments are added to promote full recovery. For rehabilitation, equipment like "Redcord," "Arthromot," and "Tr. Bubnovsky" are used.
Additionally, this year a new method called "hydrogen inhalation therapy" has been introduced for the prevention of cardiovascular diseases. Instead of antiplatelet drugs (such as Cardiomagnyl, Trombo ACC, Thrombopol, Aspirin Cardio), patients can undergo a course of hydrogen inhalation and achieve excellent results.
In the first quarter of this year, 426 people with cardiovascular diseases were treated at the "Almaty Resort" sanatorium. This number includes vacationers registered under various categories. According to 2023 data, 2,372 patients were treated for cardiovascular diseases. Among them were patients who had undergone cardiovascular surgeries and received inpatient treatment.
Botagoz Duisen, a graduate of the S.D. Asfendiyarov Kazakh National Medical University in 2006, has been working in cardiology for about 17 years. "Over many years of working in this field, I have realized that most patients come to us when they are already in a critical condition, and treatment becomes inevitable. The uniqueness of our sanatorium is that we are an inpatient sanatorium. We provide preventive treatment, inpatient treatment, and rehabilitation. Working in such a multifunctional center gives me special energy and strength. There is no greater happiness than receiving gratitude from recovered patients. Achieving my goals and dreaming of the future is most important to me!" says Botagoz Bakturkizy.
